The NTCA is seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic and reliable individuals or groups assisting individuals who are seeking employment in the Northern Territory pastoral industry during 2012.

The NTCA has secured a number of exciting employment opportunities on stations in the Alice Springs, Tanami, Barkly, Daly and Victoria River regions. Individuals are required to commence employment as trainee station hands, stockmen and head stockmen in April 2012.
Pre-employment training commences in March 2012, successful participants will commence full time employment on completion of the training. The Association will provide appropriate mentoring in the work place for the duration of the mustering season.
Outlined below is the schedule of pre-employment training. Training will be delivered by Charles Darwin University and additional training providers under an auspice arrangement.

Top End
- Jackeroos/Trainees – Geoff Toomby Module I Horsemanship and cattle work; first aid, OHS, fencing and bore maintenance. Commence 22nd March for 13 days. Tipperary Station.
- Stockmen – Geoff Toomby Colt Starting, preg testing, working from heights certificate, commence March for 4 days. Tipperary Station.
Central
- Jackeroos/Trainees – Geoff Toomby Module I Horsemanship and cattle work; first aid, OHS, fencing and bore maintenance. Commence 12th April for 14 days. Bohning Yards/Ross River Resort.
- Stockmen – Geoff Toomby Colt Starting, preg testing, working from heights certificate commences April for 4 days. Bohning Yards.
